I have implemented a super basic system for picking up objects. There will be a lot more to it than this (including better animations and such), but this is a great start!
Check out these cool water plants that react with physics and everything!

Plants are so friendly to Juda! These guys just open right up whenever he is around.
Let's talk about culling! If you notice as Juda moves closer to the environment, you can see a couple trees spawn in! This is good as it means the culling system is working! Note that the random tree pop in won't actually happen in production... I just added it for emphasis here.
I am not sure if this will make it into the final cut of the game, but I am working on a local desaturation effect at level entrances. The plan would be to have the desaturation effect dissipate if the player clears the level.
Have been working on a better local fog system as I didn't like the one I had previous... much happier with it now!
